Based in Ripon, Phil works as a free-lance photographer.

He Specializes in social portraiture and wedding photography and has gained several national awards for his work.

Inspired by the British landscape, it's history and the natural world his personal work encompasses a huge variety of subjects and studies.

Philip concentrates on black and white printing, and often prints work for other photographers. With the massive shift towards digital imagery, he believes it necessary to hang on to some of the old techniques. He uses wet chemical recipes that were popular over a hundred years ago to produce fine, warm, beautiful images that evoke feelings of the past. Philip also uses Polaroid film to create Image transfers of some of his natural studies, such as fish and flowers.
